Graduate Consultant Programme – Start Your Career with Purpose

Location: Hybrid (minimum 2 days per week in either Westminster or Cardiff office)

Employment type: 2 year fixed-term graduate programme, with opportunities for progression beyond the programme

Weekly hours: 35 hours (full time)

Salary: £27,000 p.a.

The Graduate Programme

Our Graduate Programme is designed to help you grow into a confident, capable public sector consultant. You’ll gain hands‑on experience across multiple practice areas, develop essential consulting skills and work alongside experts who are passionate about helping you progress.

From day one, you’ll contribute to real client projects—developing strong analytical, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.

We fully fund your APM Project Management qualification to support your professional development.

What You’ll Do

  • As a Graduate Consultant, you will:

  • Support project teams delivering solutions for public sector clients 

  • Conduct research, analysis and data work 

  • Help prepare reports and presentations for senior stakeholders 

  • Attend meetings and capture actions 

  • Build knowledge of public sector delivery Use research, AI, data and analytics to support insight‑led work 

  • Take on increasing responsibility as your confidence grows

About You

We’re looking for individuals who are motivated by purpose and eager to grow.

Essential:
  • Degree (or expected degree) in any discipline 

  • Strong analytical and communication skills 

  • A genuine interest in the public sector 

  • Proactive, curious and enthusiastic about learning 

  • Great attention to detail 

  • A collaborative team player

Desirable:
  • Interest in areas such as local government, infrastructure, housing, sustainability or regeneration 

  • Experience in a professional environment 

  • Confidence using Excel, Word and PowerPoint 

  • Welsh language skills
