About us
Test Valley comprises a diverse and attractive natural and built environment including the North Wessex Downs National Landscape, the historic town of Romsey, and the beautiful river Test, along with largest settlement of Andover which is the commercial centre of the borough.
These are dynamic times in Test Valley as we meet the challenge of accommodating the new housing and commercial growth we need to plan for across the borough, and deliver masterplan led regeneration projects in Andover and Romsey, as well as contributing to the Council’s ambitious climate change agenda and supporting our communities through the delivery of new facilities and infrastructure.
About the role
Support Team Leader (Planning & Building Service)
£40,331.52 - £44,107.08 per annum
37 hours per week

We are currently recruiting a Support Team Leader to help us deliver a high-quality and responsive planning service which meets the needs of our residents and businesses and wider corporate ambitions, while protecting and enhancing our towns, villages and countryside. Managing performance is also key so we meet national standards for planning.
About You
The right candidate will be a confident communicator, with excellent people skills and extensive management experience in an office setting, preferably in the public sector and ideally in the field of planning. They must demonstrate the ability to work in a constructive, positive and collaborative way and inspire others to do so.
